So now that we know Android 5.0 a.k.a Jelly Bean is in the pipeline, and hopefully launching this fall, without any doubts, a new smartphone or a tablet will debut it. Let’s assume it’s a smartphone. Before the launch of ICS, there were rumors that HTC and LG were also favorites for the next Nexus device, but in the end Samsung got lucky (again). This time around, it seems that HTC is still trying their best to manufacture the next Nexus device. HTC’s Jeff Gordon gave a statement to TechRadar, saying that
Google hasn’t chosen its Nexus partner for (Android) Jellybean as yet. So right now all the manufacturers are crossing their fingers.
TechRadar has since pulled the article for some reason.
If we look at history, HTC manufactured first ever Android device, the G1, and we couldn’t forget the killer Nexus One. If HTC does land the next iteration of the Nexus line, we’ll certainly be happy campers.
We want to know what do you think. Who do you want to make the next Nexus device? Samsung? HTC? Do you have another manufacturer in mind? Let us know in the comments!
