Samsung not holding MWC press conference, what are they up to?

Published by in General on February 9th, 2012

We’ve heard a few rumors about what the folks at Samsung have up their sleeves for MWC in Barcelona. There was the Galaxy S III, and more recently the Galaxy S II Plus, neither of which were confirmed. Well, we finally got our hands on some official news from Samsung, but it’s not revealing much. All that we know at this point is that Sammy won’t be holding any kind of big press event at MWC, which tells us that they may be up to something that they’ll throw a bunch of marketing into somewhere down the road. Of course, Samsung will still be at MWC, at least to our knowledge, to show off some “exciting new mobile products.”

This could mean that either Samsung is planning something big for MWC, and is keeping it under wraps, or that they’re putting more effort into something for after the event in Barcelona. In any case, only time will tell. More on this as it develops.

So what do you think Samsung could be planning? A new tablet? Something for Google TV? Sound off in the comments!
